The Wolseley Wine Loft, which is gaining quite a reputation for the continental and craft beers it stocks alongside its delectable range of wines, is heading for something of an American revolution in March as it welcomes a host of brews from the award-winning Portland, Oregon-based Rogue Brewery.
Perhaps the most unusual of the beers on offer will be the ‘Voodoo Doughnut’ Preztel, Raspberry and Chocolate Ale, brewed to provide the ultimate pairing to desserts and, naturally, to the deep-fried treats that give it its name.
Other Rogue Brewery ales on offer include the Rogue Nation Brutal IPA with its with big citrusy, hop flavour and intense hop aroma; the hoppy Yellow Snow IPA which is great paired with beef and spicy dishes, the German Maibock style Dead Guy Ale and the sweet, smooth Allegro Coffee Porter. Wolseley Wine Loft’s Tom Waldron says:
“Over the past few months we’ve seen huge interest in the continental and craft beer range we stock so are keen to grow this side of the business alongside the wine. The aim is to always provide beer lovers with something a bit different and bring in a variety of beers each month so they can try something new. Rogue Brewery is a great example of a successful business that is remaining true to its independent roots and not going down the corporate route; with more and more breweries following suit there’s literally a world of beers out there to try, and we aim to offer a great selection of these at ‘the loft’!”
All of the Rogue Brewery ales come are available on a limited basis while stocks last; alongside March’s new selection of classic continental beers.
