Pere Noel- 75cl bottle – 7% ABV
While the label – with its pudgy Santa embracing a frothy glass of beer – may be all-out Christmas kitsch, the beer within is far from it. This Belgian pale ale is one for all lovers of Belgian IPAs – hoppy, creamy and fruity with a dry bitterness on the finish. Perfect for warming up a winter’s day this fruity, malty strong pale ale would be great complimenting rich, Christmas food – or just as perfect with a takeaway! £7.25 for a 75cl bottle.

Pickled Santa – 6% ABV
Continuing with the Santa theme, this Hop Back brew is a cracking English festive brew – chestnut in colour and strong in flavour with hints of cinnamon, coriander and nutmeg. £2.69 per bottle.

Gouden Carolus Christmas – 10.5% ABV
Achieving an impressive 99 ratebeer score, this Belgian ale is praised for its seriously heavy, strong brown ale style and spiced flavours that include a significant liquorice punch. £3.65 per bottle.

Wye Valley Dorothy Goodbody’s Christmas Cracker – 4.7% ABV
This English dark chestnut seasonal ale blends malty aromas with a light bitter taste that makes it easy to drink. £2.79 per bottle.

Brouwerij Slaapmutske – Kertmutske Christmas Nightcap – 9% ABV
Brewed in Melle, East Flanders this Belgian Christmas beer pours a deep burgundy-brown topped with a robust head. While not a spiced beer, there are definite festive spice aromas which work deliciously well with fruity notes around its malt core. It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! £2.75 a bottle.

Orkney Clootie Dumpling – 4.3%
Spicy, fruity and undoubtedly festive this  is a deep golden brew with moderate bitterness. £2.75 a bottle.

Delerium Christmas – 10% ABV
No, we’re not talking about the traditional Boxing Day hangover, although the label does promise pink elephants – and sledging ones at that! Hailing from Ghent, this Belgian brew combines malty, toasted aromas with fruity notes and an underlying bitterness with a dry finish. As big on flavour as it is alcohol content! £3.75 a bottle.

If that’s whet your appetite why not pop into the loft for a browse and a chat – we also have a range of locally brewed beers and special gift packs on offer alongside our enviable selection of great wines. Christmas shopping? Sorted.
